Middle School Program Survey

Over the years, we have been blessed to have several foundations provide grants to our organization for projects and programs. One of those foundations provided a grant for our middle school after school program.

As part of the grant process, this foundation periodically asks us for an evaluation of our program. One of the ways we do this is to circulate a brief survey to our families.

If you have a current 7th-9th grader, please help us by taking a few moments to complete our survey. Your responses will be kept confidential, and will help us to improve the program for your children.

PSAT

This year the PSAT exam for grades 8-11 is digital! Because of the technical requirements for the test, we will be dividing up the students into smaller groups and administering the test over a few days.

Here is the schedule:

  • Wed, Oct 18 – 10th grade Part 1 (students in Honors English 10)
  • Thurs, Oct 19 – 10th grade Part 2 (students taking English 10)
  • Tues, Oct 24 – 11th grade
  • Wed, Oct 25 – 8th grade
  • Thurs Oct 26 – 9th grade

Testing will be from approximately 8:00-11:00 (8:45-11:45 on Wednesdays). Students will have regular classes after the test is over.

Students can prepare for by visiting the PSAT Website for information and a practice test.

1st Quarter Ends October 20th

The end of the first quarter is next Friday, October 20th. Students with missing or incomplete work need to have everything turned in by this date. Use Gradelink to check your students’ current progress.

After the end of the quarter, middle school students will receive report cards and high school students will receive a progress report based on their performance to this point.

Kare Youth Church and KYL

Trunk or Treat

Sunday, October 29th Kare Youth Church and KYL will be hosting a Trunk or Treat event at Kare Park!

They are still looking for more people to sign up to help with the event. See the attached flyer to get more information!
